TOMATO: the usually large rounded typically red or yellow pulpy berry of an herb Of the nightshade family native to South America
My. Feet. Hurt.
It happens every year about this time.
I order boxes and boxes of tomatoes and set to work putting up jars for winter. In recent years I’ve settled on the precise quantity required to get our family through a year. So, this weekend, I set to work preserving two hundred pounds of tomatoes.
I’ve improved things over the years to be better equipped for the challenge. I have more jars. I have an extra canner. I have buckets and pots to hold the interim stages of production. I recruit volunteers.
But, I have not been able to improve my human feet. They are simply not designed for two days of standing in the kitchen.
Forget athletes. Super Feet should find home-preservers to product test in September.
